Cap Conical, then convex to flattened with a central bump, centre scaly, ochraceous to rusty brown, margin decorated with velar remnants, yellow brown, to about 60 mm across Gills Free, edge irregular, finely serrated, white then cream Stem Cylindrical, base slightly broader, whitish with ochraceous brown scales Flesh Thin, white Smell Faint, fruity to unpleasant Taste Indistinct Season Autumn Distribution Infrequent Habitat On soil in deciduous woods especially on humus rich soil and with nettles Spore Print White Microscopic Features Spores bullet shaped, smooth, dextrinoid (7-10) x (3-4) µm2. Gill edge cystidia clavate to utriform. Cuticle hyphae erect, septate, each cell sausage shaped and filled with brown pigment, septa clamped. Edibility Very poisonous, potentially deadly
